Dr. Jill Krapf

I can related to this feeling both on a personal and professional level. I am a doctor, but I’m also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and woman experiencing the transition of perimenopause.

Many of us feel that we “lose a bit of ourselves” during the baby and toddler stage, whether we work in the home or outside the home.

We are constantly giving and often take care of everything and everyone except for ourselves.

Reaching our 40s and with children more self-sufficient, we are ready to regain our “old selves” but with hormonal changes, we end up “not feeling like ourselves.”

What I am realizing is we have new needs at this stage and we need to discover our “new self.”

There is so much opportunity in this new stage and there are options for those with symptoms holding them back.
