Dr. Suzanne Fenske

At each visit, I ask about the goals of the visit.

A consistent response I hear is "I want to feel like myself again."

For most, this means that they want their energy back, their anxiety or depression to be gone, to not feel apathetic, for their body to feel familiar again and to feel in control.

I, myself, had this exact feeling with unfamiliar anxiety, anhedonia, apathy, irritability and feelings of a lack of control of my body and myself.

The rollercoaster of perimenopause takes you on unfamiliar turns and makes you feel that you are being driven and controlled rather than you driving and controlling.

When you get the care you need, it gives you back your sense of self- which is the most important gift to have in life.
