Perimenopause - What’s Good To Know

It can start earlier than you think

Perimenopause typically begins in women in their 40s, but it can start as early as the mid-30s and last until menopause, which usually occurs around age 51.

Symptoms vary among women

Symptoms can include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and changes in libido. The intensity and frequency of these symptoms vary widely among women.

There is no one-journey-fits-all

Every woman's experience with perimenopause is unique. The duration, severity, and type of symptoms can differ, highlighting the importance of personalized healthcare and support.

Your hormones fluctuate significantly

During perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone levels fluctuate significantly, leading to irregular menstrual cycles and a variety of symptoms.

It often manifests emotionally

Perimenopause can significantly impact emotional wellbeing, leading to mood swings, anxiety, and depression. These emotional changes are often linked to hormonal fluctuations and life stressors.

Feeling foggy? It can be peri

Many women report experiencing memory lapses and difficulties with concentration, often referred to as "brain fog," during perimenopause.
